I’m Nishi, a Cybersecurity Engineer with a background in system administration, DevOps, and offensive security. My focus areas include identity and access management, DevSecOps, and infrastructure security.
The Origin Story
I got into security the same way a lot of people do – by breaking things I wasn’t supposed to. During the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, I led a modding clan called DarkenedModderz. We developed exploits, bypassed console protections, and messed with Minecraft servers on the side. Between C++ for memory manipulation and Java for Minecraft exploits, I learned more from breaking things than any classroom could teach. What started as curiosity eventually turned into a career.
Professional Path
I’ve held roles as a Cybersecurity Engineer, Information System Security Manager, and System Administrator, including IT work in the military. My experience spans STIG implementation, CI/CD pipeline development, and infrastructure automation using Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.
